What is the difference between saves and backups?

Rust saves all buildings into a .sav file while the server is running, whereas a backup would copy all of your files.

Backups are stored off-site and are available for download as an archive. This ensures that if anything happens, your server data will not be lost.

Why is my server not popping up in the server browser?

Your server may still be listing properly. You can verify that on sites like BattleMetrics.

We recommend ticking "Show Empty" if there are no players online, setting gametags and applying browser filters to find your server.

Every time I load a plugin the server stops responding.

Plugin watchers in Oxide have issues which makes the server stall.

To fix this, you can disable them in oxide/oxide.config.json
