How to upload a custom map to GitHub Print

Steps

  1. Purchase and/or download your custom map
  2. The map may come in a .zip file. In that case extract the contents first
  3. If you are not registered on GitHub yet, you can do this here: github.com/signup
  4. Once you are in your account, create a new repository as shown below



  5. You can choose any name you like



  6. Make sure the repository is Public



  7. Create the repository



  8. Once it is created, you can upload your maps there using the text saying uploading an existing file



  9. Choose or drag and drop your .map file
  10. Hit the green Commit changes button after uploading it



  11. You're half way there! Now click on the name of the map



  12. There you will be able to use the Raw button to copy the file link. Hit Right Click - Copy Link



  13. Open the `Startup` tab in the game panel
  14. Paste your map link into the `Custom Map URL` field



  15. (Optional) Some maps require RustEdit extension, install it if necessary
